Trisha Yearwood Releases New Single ‘The Mirror’

Grammy-winning artist Trisha Yearwood today releases “The Mirror,” the powerful title track from her highly anticipated new album, The Mirror, arriving July 18 via Virgin Music Group and Yearwood’s own Gwendolyn Records. Marking the first time Yearwood has fully co-written and co-produced a record, the album reflects a deeply personal and creative evolution from one of country music’s most iconic voices.

“The Mirror” is a heartfelt anthem of self-reflection and empowerment. Co-written by Yearwood, alongside Leslie Satcher and Bridgette Tatum, and co-produced by Yearwood and Chad Carlson, the song tells a moving story of embracing one’s worth, resilience, and beauty. With its poignant lyrics and Yearwood’s powerful voice, the track captures the journey of rediscovering the strength within and seeing yourself in a new light.

“I feel like a lot of the songs on this record are letters to my younger self. The Mirror is absolutely that,” says Yearwood. “In my experience we, as women, are so hard on ourselves. We pick ourselves apart. But have you ever passed yourself in a mirror and, not realizing it was you, thought, ‘She looks strong, or confident’—something you’d never say about yourself? That thought inspired the song: about reaching a place where you talk to yourself like a best friend, not your worst enemy.”

To celebrate the release, Yearwood will connect directly with fans through special performances, conversations, and a multi-city album signing tour.

Yearwood will join bestselling author Jen Hatmaker on June 30, for a live TalkShopLive conversation offering fans a behind-the-scenes look at The Mirror and the creative journey behind it. Viewers can purchase a signed copy of the album on vinyl or CD from TalkShopLive. In a special collaboration, Rolling Stone will simulcast the stream across RollingStone.com and their Facebook and Instagram pages. Tune in HERE.

On July 4, Yearwood will perform two new songs on NBC’s national broadcast of the Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks®show, joining an all-star lineup live from New York City ahead of the iconic fireworks display over the Brooklyn Bridge.
