The Castellows Announce New Project And Headlining Tour

While on stage at their debut Stagecoach appearance this past weekend, neo-traditional Country music sister-trio, The Castellows, announced their seven-track Homecoming EP, arriving May 30. The band also revealed they’ll be hitting the road this fall for their headline The Homecoming Tour. Kicking off in Austin, TX on September 13, the cross-country tour will hit 15 cities, with more dates to be announced soon. Tickets can be purchased HERE.

About the EP, The Castellows say, “Homecoming encompasses the way we’ve been feeling for the last year. A lot of these songs are very personal to us and share our convictions about the world. We take our listeners on a bit of a journey through these songs, and our hope is that they’ll get to know us better after listening.”

“One way to sum up the EP is through our favorite lyric on the whole project. It’s from the chorus of ‘Freeway’: ‘You don’t know what you’re feeling until you hear it in a song.’”

On Friday (4/25), The Castellows released “Sheltered” off the forthcoming project. The autobiographical tune unveils the unique life experiences they saw being homeschooled and growing up on a farm. “Sometimes you hear people saying somewhat negative things about homeschoolers, so we thought it’d be very fitting to play on that language with ‘Sheltered,’” the trio shared. “We really love that we were homeschooled, and we really see the value in how we grew up. It’s because of that that we were able to focus on music. Being homeschooled is kind of the reason why we are the way we are today, and we thought it deserved a song.”

Earlier this year, the Georgia-born singers released their take on Patty Loveless’s “You Don’t Even Know Who I Am” and their collaboration with Flatland Cavalry, “Place They Call Home.”
