Country Songstress Ashley Ryan Returns With Bold New Single Built For Open Roads And Carefree Hearts With “Roll Baby”

Country songstress Ashley Ryan is back with a bold new single built for open roads and open hearts. “Roll Baby,” available now on all streaming platforms, captures the thrill of spontaneous adventure and the magnetic pull of young love in motion. Driven by an irresistible beat and Ryan’s signature powerhouse vocals, “Roll Baby,” penned by Frank Stopak, Larry McCoy, Quinn Loggins, and Ryan herself, “the emerging firecracker of a storyteller,” (All Country News), is a windows-down, radio-up kind of ride. From the first line, the song exudes feel-good energy as she sings about a much-needed escape from the day-to-day—with a love interest ready to drop everything and roll at a moment’s notice.

“‘Roll Baby’ is one of those songs that just makes you want to drop everything and go — with the person who knows how to turn your whole day around,” said Ryan of the release. “It’s playful and full of banjos, with that upbeat, windows-down energy I grew up loving in early Keith Urban. But underneath the fun, there’s a real sweetness to it—a love that feels like freedom. The kind where you don’t need a plan, just each other, a full tank, and a good song on the radio. It’s about feeling seen, swept away, and reminded that sometimes the best nights start with someone saying, ‘I’m on my way.’”

“Roll Baby” follows Ryan’s June release of reckless youth and small-town rebellion, “Oughta Know Better,” “a classic country callout with a modern edge,” (Stage Right Secrets), is a punchy, nostalgic nod to the reckless side of young love—the kind that leaves you with stories, scars, and a little more wisdom. “The track leans into its classic influences but keeps things fresh” with “a mix of youthful impulsivity and romantic chaos, both intoxicating and inevitable,” (All Country News).

Ryan’s April release, a full-throttle, no-brakes love story, “My Crazy, deemed “a lively, twang-laced ride that effortlessly blends the heart-fluttering spontaneity of new love with the fiddle-forward flair of ‘90s country,” (All Country News). Noting the cues of a promising young love, Ryan finds herself somewhere between love and lust, “it’s fearless, it’s fiery, and it’s completely unforgettable,” (Fandom Daily). “My Crazy” recently released to country radio nationwide and is currently going for adds. Ryan’s March release, “Wrong Post,” dishes out a warning to an ex about his new flame – and wishes him the luck that he will surely need. The official video for the song, which premiered exclusively with CMT, features Ryan waitressing at a drama-filled dive bar, crushing over her manager, who is seemingly into another employee.

Ryan burst onto the scene in 2023, when her debut song with Spinville Entertainment, “Hush Little Baby,” quickly went viral, amassing over 35 million views on TikTok and Facebook, and over 17 million streams on Spotify alone. “Full-fledged barn-burner” (Billboard) “Too Far Gone,” is yet another example of Ryan’s powerhouse vocals and a nod to the female stars that inspire her. “I grew up singing ‘Before He Cheats’ and ‘Gunpowder and Lead.’ I really love fiddle in a song – I love that old traditional country, the grungy female country with the sassy drop D guitar and rolling banjo. So that’s what you’ll get from me.”
