Tyler Rich to Release Deluxe Album, Poppy & Iris, November 21

Country music star Tyler Rich is giving fans twice the music with the deluxe edition of Poppy & Iris, arriving on all streaming platforms this Friday, November 21.

The deluxe collection combines all the beloved tracks from his widely praised albums Hello Californiaand Leaving California, plus two brand-new songs, including “Cowboy Tears” and “Redwood.”

“Cowboy Tears,” written by Rich and Andrew Capra and produced by Brad Hill and Lalo Guzman, explores the feeling of falling in love with someone all over again. Rich explains, “No matter how much time has passed or how far apart you’ve been, some people just stay a part of you. It’s about chasing what you already have, the person who still feels like home even after all the dust settles.” Fittingly, Cowboy Tears also shares its name with his wife Sabina’s lifestyle brand, a subtle nod to their own enduring love story.

“Redwood,” written by Rich, Aaron Gillespie, Matty Mullins, and Cody Quistad, and produced by Brad Hill and Lalo Guzman, celebrates the resilience of love. Rich shares, “A redwood tree can’t burn down, it just sheds a layer and grows back stronger. No matter what life throws at us, Sabina and I always find a way to stand tall again. It’s about roots that run deep, weathering every fire, every storm, and knowing that when everything else falls apart, we’re still standing.”

The deluxe edition also features bonus track “Dogs Don’t Die,” a heartfelt tribute to Rich’s late dog, Abby. Written by Rich alongside Blake Bollinger and Steven Lee Olsen, the song offers comfort to anyone who’s experienced a similar loss, a reminder that the love dogs give makes every moment worth it.

Beyond music, 2025 saw the release of Rich’s first two children’s books, Dogs Don’t Die and Leave the Wolf Wild, expanding his creative storytelling beyond the stage.

Rich is wrapping his Leaving California Tour, performing across the U.S. through the end of the year.
